Long-term Success Comes From Patience and Perseverance

How fast can you find success?

Is it possible to make $100,000 in one day?

Is it possible to gain 100 new clients in one week?

Is it possible to grow a million dollar company in one year?

The answer to every one of these questions is … yes. And of course, no. success

We’re conditioned in our lives to achieve things quickly. A murder mystery is solved on television in under an hour. Infomercials promise us instant results, cure your problems in a day.

But is any of this truly possible?

If you’ve ever planted a garden, you understand it takes time. You start by tilling the soil. You add new, energized soil and fertilizer to the ground. You plant seeds. You water. You fertilize. You weed. You provide sunshine. And they grow. Weeks later, the seeds turn into plants. You nurture the plants as they produce fruits and vegetables. And finally, you harvest your reward.

What about your business? Can you harvest your reward without taking the time to plant the seeds, water, fertilize … and wait for all of your love and commitment to take affect?

I had an email today from a photographer canceling out of my Six Figure Photographer program. It wasn’t what she anticipated, and wanted instant action from the coaching program. She wanted the instant results, without the work to accomplish it all.

As I was typing up my answer, it inspired this post because I know there are a ton of photographers out there frustrated with the way things are going.

  • Maybe you’ve lost your job, and have to start making money with photography NOW.
  • Maybe you’re sick of your job, and don’t know if it will be around tomorrow. Photography is your “light” and it has to work NOW.
  • Maybe you’ve been in photography for years, and you just can’t seem to make a full time income at it. You want answers NOW, and you want success NOW.

I understand. I’ve been there too. There’s nothing more frustrating than watching someone with huge success, knowing you should be there too.

But the difference between them and you is they planted the seeds. They did one thing, then another. They knew every step they took would bring them closer to the final reward. They didn’t cut corners trying to bypass the road. If you don’t water, or fertilize, or provide sunshine, the plants will die.

So even when you don’t want to hear about creating a referral plan. Or creating a website that works for you. Or understand how to blog for customers. You have to learn it all to make sure your business is thriving a year from now.

Imagine a year from now when you’re looking back. Will the road be difficult? Maybe at times.

But isn’t the final reward worth it?

[Does Six Figure Photographer take time and dedication? Definitely. But in my program I show you the exact steps we used to go from $40,000 to $250,000 in sales in less than 2 years. Does that interest you? Get started today.]
